Preschool Storytime
We offer Storytime every Thursday morning @ 10:00. We will have weekly themes, read stories, sing songs, play games, and make crafts. If school is not in session, there will not be a program. This program runs from September through April. We take a break from this in the summer for our Summer Reading Program.
Tween Time
Tween Time is for grades 4th-6th and meets on Thursdays from 3:30-4:30. The kids participate in a wide range of activities, including cooking, crafts, and games. This program also runs September through April on days when school is in session.
1000 Books before Kindergarten
The concept is simple; the rewards are priceless. Read any books to your child, and the goal is to have read and track 1,000 books before they start kindergarten. To put things in perspective, if you read just 1 book a night, you will have read about 365 books in a year. That is 730 books in two years and 1,095 books in three years. If you consider that most children start kindergarten at around age 5, you have more time than you think. Stop by the library to pick up reading logs, and children who complete the program will receive a certificate and a free book.
